It’s so wild what can go ‘viral’ or not. Late last year, Rich embarked upon an adventure to Uganda where he captured a massive silverback gorilla inflating his air sacs (different to lungs). This video has gone completely viral with over 20 million hits on TikTok and over 2 million views on Instagram.

We’re here to guide you on taking photos of gorillas and chimpanzees in their natural environment. The forest is quite dark, but it can have these patchy bits of light so understanding what you’re doing and bringing the right equipment will make all the difference. In order to get two or three or four really great images you have to take a few, but in order to take memories you have to be present. So enjoy the video and we hope it helps.
