Zambia is a richly bio-diverse, safe, quiet country that resides in the heart of Southern Africa. It normally falls rather under the radar alongside Kenya and Tanzania but it is by no means less magnificent. In fact, form some, it could be considered more understated, less populated and less touristy.

It also has the One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, can you guess what it is?

Ok well guest which one it is below!

South Luangwa National Park: One of the best wildlife reserves in Africa, South Luangwa is known for its dense population of leopards and excellent walking safaris. Visitors can get to see elephants, and wild dogs from a safe distance on foot as well as a variety of bird species.

Lower Zambezi National Park: This park offers unique water-based safaris on the Zambezi River, where you can see elephants, hippos, and crocodiles. Canoeing and fishing are popular activities, along with more traditional game drives.

Lake Kariba

Lake Kariba is one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. It’s a great spot for boating, fishing (especially tiger fish), and relaxing with views of the surrounding wilderness. Houseboat trips are particularly popular.

Kafue National Park

Zambia’s largest national park, Kafue is less commercialized but offers a vast array of wildlife, including antelope species like sable and roan, lions, leopards, and elephants. The park is ideal for those looking for a more remote safari experience.

Lumangwe Falls

Often referred to as a smaller version of Victoria Falls, Lumangwe Falls is the largest waterfall wholly within Zambia. It’s a tranquil, off-the-beaten-path destination with opportunities for hiking and picnicking near the falls.

It’s probably most well known for Africa’s biggest falls, the Victoria Falls, but it quietly takes place behind the more popular tourist destinations like Tanzania and Kenya.

It’s also a short flight from Johannesburg, South Africa the gateway to Africa, what’s not to love?
