A mini blog on what to expect when you embark upon a primate adventure in Uganda.

For years, Rich and Matt, as professional guides, have been hosting and guiding treks into Uganda and Rwanda. One of the core reasons (although not the only one) is to host incredible primate trekking safaris. Rich and Matt provide insights into the lives of these captivating primates as well as the overarching biodiversity of the forests that are home to an array of exotic birds, butterflies, beautiful trees and plants.

Here are some of the highlights that the guests can look forward to:

🦍 Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda:

This lush, magical forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where guests have the privilege to trek to the mountain gorillas and view them in their natural habitat. Watch as gorilla families go about their daily routines, from playing and feeding to grooming and napping. Once we’ve soaked up every last minute of the gorillas, it’s onto the next adventure.

🌳Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park, Uganda:

Explore the dense Kibale National Park and embark upon a trail to find the chimpanzees. If you’re lucky enough, you might find them in a playful mood as they swing through trees, communicate with intricate calls, and showcase their complex and intelligent social interactions.

There is so much more to explore in Uganda. Next we’ll share our insights into tree climbing lions in Uganda.
