Tracking a Black Leopard in the Wild
Have you heard about the wild, Black Leopard in Kenya? Her name is Giza and she lives in an area called Laikipia. She’s a melanistic leopard, meaning she overproduces melanin, so her coat is silky black with darker spots underneath. Luckily, her unusual coat hasn’t made her an outcast, on the contrary, we believe she’s had cubs in the last month or so. Recently, Rich had the privilege of tracking her at night with guests, watching her hunt and soaking in her sheer beauty.
