If you are fortunate enough to have Matt Meyer as your guide, you have not just found an expert; you have found the heart and soul of your journey. Our safari with Arc Earth was transformative, and Matt was the quiet, brilliant catalyst for every moment of it.

Matt’s profound passion for the wild is infectious, but it’s his dedication to making the best of each moment that truly sets him apart. A long stretch of quiet wasn’t empty; it was the pregnant pause before a breathtaking encounter. He even transformed simple meals into immersive experiences, arranging breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner out in the bush, so that every sense was engaged and no moment of the day was separate from the landscape. In doing so, he taught us to see not just the spectacular, but the significance in everything—the track in the sand, the bird’s call at dawn, the shared silence over a steaming cup of coffee as the sun rose. He was, as the saying goes, a guide who provided not just new landscapes, but new eyes.
